Key Responsibilities:
The Global Fund Banking (GFB) Credit Specialist plays a pivotal role in facilitating an efficient loan approval process for the GFB portfolio management team. This position is tasked with generating loan approval documentation, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures regarding timeliness, thoroughness, consistency, and precision.
The Credit Specialist is an entry-level position that demands analytical thinking to accurately complete credit data components and fundamental underwriting details, assemble necessary documentation, and fulfill additional responsibilities to ensure a comprehensive credit package. Daily collaboration with GFB Portfolio Management colleagues is essential to maintain a smooth workflow, alongside direct interaction with the Middle Office and Loan Closers to ensure prompt and precise loan processing.
Primary Duties Include:
- Preparation of all credit documentation for new and existing facilities, including the assembly of necessary exhibits and dropdown fields.
- Modification of ongoing credit documentation as required.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders for all credit-related actions, serving as a point of contact for inquiries or issues.
- Conducting basic credit forecasting.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree accompanied by one year of experience in financial services, or a High School diploma/GED with two to five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various business levels.
- Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
- Capable of identifying and rectifying data discrepancies.
- Able to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
