Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operations Officer to join our team at LTD Lane Transit District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all Operations units, including Transit Operations, Fleet Management, Facilities Management, Customer Service Center, and Specialized Services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the delivery of transit services, ensuring safety, compliance, and organizational goals are met.
  2. Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Division, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
  3. Develop and manage the Operations budget, ensuring fiscal performance and strategic planning.
  4. Collaborate with the union to resolve issues and negotiate labor contracts.
  5. Represent the department at hearings and arbitrations as required.
  6. Supervise assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, or a related field.
  • At least 7-9 years of related work experience in a transportation environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Competencies
  • Knowledge of transportation modes, contract management, fiscal management, and labor agreements.
  • Skills in leadership, management, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and implement solutions.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible for the regular administrative benefits package. The pay range is between $141,900.00 and $192,000.00 annually.
