Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Operations Officer to lead our Transit Services division at LTD Lane Transit District. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transit operations, including fleet management, customer service, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transit services and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the management of transit operations, including fleet maintenance, scheduling, and dispatch
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Lead and manage a team of operations staff, including supervisors and coordinators
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial plans for transit operations
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, or a related field
  • At least 7-9 years of experience in transit operations or a related field
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Transportation, or a related field
  • Experience with transit management software and systems
  • Certification in transit management or a related field
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a normal office environment and/or in the field as needed. Occasional abnormal hours may be required for specific events and to reach all employees.

Compensation

This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible for the regular administrative benefits package. The pay range is between $141,900.00 and $192,000.00 annually.
