Job Description

As a Business Development Specialist at alliantgroup, you will play a key role in introducing CEOs and CPA firms to our organization. This is a highly visible position that requires close collaboration with our Sales Directors and other key executives. The ideal candidate will be part of a high-performance team, building and managing relationships with potential clients through current leads, prospecting, networking, and building a referral pipeline.

This position is primarily a hunter role – opening doors for new business, later helping to expand relationships with our channel partners. The Business Development Specialist will be tasked with new outreach to untouched U.S. business owners, C-Suite contacts, and CPA firms to educate them on the incentives they are not taking advantage of.

Responsibilities
  • Create new business through organized lead qualification and prospecting to increase alliantgroup's market penetration.
  • Develop a value-centric sales approach to establish highly profitable, strategic partnerships and gain new business through referral avenues.
  • Identify and qualify prospects, create call plans, and track progress in Salesforce.
  • Conduct daily outbound sales calls, schedule and hold sales appointments, obtain needed information to generate presentations, and create value-centric sales pitches.
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree
  • 1 year of full-time, professional, B2B sales experience (Tax-related industry experience not required)
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing 50+ calls per day
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in a variety of consultative settings, including demonstrated experience with C-level executives or business owners
  • Dynamic personality with the ability to build amazing relationships

  • A high performer that is driven by feedback and investment from leadership to grow personally, professionally, and financially
  • Openness to travel 30-70% (frequency varies depending on the time of the year and region)
