We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Specialist to join our team at Specialist Office. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our surgical team.
Key Responsibilities- Passing of instruments and sterile supplies to physicians and maintaining accurate counts.
- Assisting the surgical team in preparing for surgery, including dressing and arranging surgical supplies and instruments.
- Applying dressings and appropriate garments to surgical sites, and preparing and preserving specimens obtained during surgery.
- Operating equipment such as lights and suction machines as needed during surgery.
- Cleaning and restocking the operating room for the next surgery, and maintaining accurate records of tissue and fat removed from patients.
- Accurately closing out invoices as procedures are completed, and assisting the Material Manager as needed.
- 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Surgical Tech certification.
- Thorough working knowledge of aseptic technique.
- Ability to pass instruments and sterile supplies to physicians.
- Ability to suture incisions, apply dressings, and clean and stock rooms.
- Knowledge and administration of medications.
- BLS certification.
