Position Overview: Technical Customer Trainer

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions for customers at the Miltenyi Innovation and Technology Centers (MITC), collaborating closely with senior team members to align with marketing strategies and product launches.
  • Evaluate and refine training materials, providing constructive feedback to instructional designers and subject matter experts.
  • Participate in specialized training to enhance knowledge of Miltenyi Biotec technologies and modern training methodologies.
  • Enhance the customer training experience through technical insights and consultations.
  • Foster customer success and loyalty through effective pre- and post-training engagement.
  • Generate sales and marketing opportunities by promoting MACS solutions during training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant feedback, and course outcomes.
  • Assist in training logistics and serve as a co-trainer when necessary.
  • Contribute to global training initiatives, departmental meetings, and workshops.
  • Ensure the training lab is well-equipped and organized.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Immunology, Stem Cell Biology, Cancer Research, or a related scientific discipline, along with 2-4 years of laboratory experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient understanding of technical training concepts and laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry techniques and GMP-compliant cell processing.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong grasp of technical concepts and the ability to quickly learn complex technologies.
  • Proficient in using Windows OS, Outlook, and basic MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and experts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining focus on quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing technical training content using various instructional methods, including classroom training, e-learning, and simulations.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to perform essential functions, including walking, using hands for manipulation, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The position may involve travel, necessitating a valid driver's license and insurance.

Work Environment:

The work is conducted in a controlled, accessible facility, primarily in an office setting, with opportunities to visit customer locations.
