Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of salaried production control support personnel, including unionized staff, across a three-shift operation.
  • Manage material needs for various programs to ensure a seamless flow of authorized materials aligned with production timelines.
  • Facilitate the management of work in progress (WIP) on the production floor and oversee the execution of program schedules. Monitor key performance indicators related to production control and warehouse activities.
  • Assist in managing material requirements, including overseeing kitting operations to support cost and schedule commitments, minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain management, quality assurance, and other departments to develop contingency plans for unexpected supply chain interruptions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with production processes and control procedures.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Background in cost, scheduling, and technical data management.
  • Leadership experience with both salaried and unionized employees.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience presenting results to various leadership levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to tackle routine and unique challenges to develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in risk identification and management.
  • Familiarity with bidding, proposal, and estimating practices.
  • Experience in developing and managing capital budgets.
  • Knowledge of flow center operations.
  • Understanding of FAR government contracts.
  • Project management experience.
Security Clearance:
This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment:
This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with a standard work schedule of 4x10 hours, providing three days off each week.
