Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Develop and implement robust contract management processes to ensure project teams comply with contract or subcontract requirements.
  • Contract Administration: Review and administer contracts, develop contract management tools, procedures, and processes, and audit project contract management.
  • Subcontractor Management: Support project subcontractor management with compliance oversight, contract adherence reviews, and standard tools for subcontractor management.
  • Customer Contract Compliance: Ensure project teams comply with customer contract requirements and deliverables.
  • Claim Management: Develop claim strategies for customer and subcontract claims or claim defenses.
  • Contract Configuration: Manage project contract configuration and contract document/file management.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and project issues related to contract requirement or contract procedure non-compliance.
  • Mitigation Planning: Review and develop mitigation plans for contract-related risks.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to project execution team on contract-related topics and contract adherence best practices.
Requirements
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge, education, and experience in contracts, contract management, and legal knowledge of contract formation and enforcement.
  • Construction Management: Strong knowledge of construction management process means and methods.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Expert knowledge of relevant and applicable rules of construction and related regulatory requirements (OSHA, FAR, construction permitting regulations, etc.).
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management and contract management software packages (Procore, BIM modelling, Primavera, Excel).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent time and project management skills, and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to act as a customer-facing representative for contract negotiations, claims resolution, and support litigation, when necessary.
  • Education: BS in law, construction management, engineering or related field.
Additional Information

This position requires domestic and international travel, up to 20% of the time.
