About the Role

ZTI Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team of experts. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of a classified DoD network.

Summary

As an ISSO, you will provide expert consulting services related to the maintenance, upgrade, and implementation of new technologies within our secure environment. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with established security frameworks.

Certification and Accreditation Consultant Activities
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the network infrastructure, including security device configurations and Zone guidelines as outlined in DISA's Enclave Test and Development STIG.
  • Develop innovative documents and processes to support the deployment of new architectures on the enterprise platform, ensuring strict adherence to DoD directives.
  • Prepare comprehensive accreditation documentation for review by the Authorizing Official.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
  • Work closely with vendors who provide custom-developed applications to ensure they are developed and maintained in accordance with DoD policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Risk Management Framework accreditation documents, ensuring the Continuous Monitoring Process is effectively implemented and sustained.
  • Manage the Accreditation Package within eMASS and maintain the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) within the system.
  • Conduct Continuous Monitoring activities and self-assessments within eMASS.
Supporting New System Integration
  • Engage in engineering discussions with application developers to determine the most suitable architecture for deploying new applications on the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with DoD guidelines related to production and Zone requirements.
  • Assist in developing operational concepts (CONOPs) for the operation of new systems on the network.
  • Approve change requests as necessary to deploy new system components on the network.
  • Coordinate with relevant team members to identify applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for new systems and deliver these lists to the system developers.
  • Assist in documenting the Risk Assessment Report for new applications based on scan results from the IA team.
  • Discuss system details with the Authorizing Official's representatives, providing a clear explanation of potential risks introduced by any new applications along with associated mitigation strategies.
Communication and Initiative
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to discuss your area of responsibility (Assessment and Authorization).
  • Proactively communicate with team members to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach by identifying opportunities for process improvement and security enhancement.
