Job Description

We are seeking a skilled cryptography expert to join our team as a product-oriented information security analyst. As an analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and applying security concepts and techniques, including entropy, access control, authentication, auditing, and side-channel analysis.
  • Becoming proficient in security standards, such as FIPS 140 and Common Criteria.
  • Maintaining and expanding your knowledge of technical domains, including cryptography, network protocols/security, hardware security, software engineering, database, mobile devices, virtualization, and operating systems.
  • Applying your expertise to evaluate the security architecture, implementation, and deployment of cutting-edge IT products.
  • Providing support to atsec customers in security-related areas and establishing yourself as a recognized industry expert in your field.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mathematics or Electrical Engineering with a Computer Science emphasis, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and mathematical concepts.
  • Excellent programming and code analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with Unix-based command line environments.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, including TLS/SSL, SSH, IPsec, IKE, SRTP, and SNMP.
  • Understanding of information security concepts, such as authentication, access control, and network security.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with technical developments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The flexibility to travel.
Desirable Skills

While not required, the following skills would be beneficial:

  • Practical experience with Common Criteria evaluations.
  • Practical experience with FIPS 140-x testing.
  • Practical experience designing or implementing standards-based security features.
