Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a key advisor on all matters related to information systems security, particularly for classified information systems.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of systems and networks to identify deviations from established security configurations and policies, utilizing both passive and active assessment techniques.
  • Implementing rigorous program control measures to mitigate risks and facilitate the certification and accreditation processes for information systems.
  • Assisting in the application of necessary government policies and providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Performing detailed analyses to confirm existing security requirements and propose additional safeguards as needed.
  • Supporting formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes mandated by government accrediting authorities, including preparation, participation, and reporting.
  • Documenting outcomes of Certification and Accreditation activities and maintaining system Security Plans along with the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Regularly reviewing audit results and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and tracked until resolution.
  • Overseeing weekly security audits of information systems.
  • Managing security configurations and user accounts effectively.
  • Evaluating system security plan documentation for compliance.
  • Engaging in continuous monitoring of security measures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Possession of a current DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Current IAM Level 2 Security Certification (such as CAP, CASP CE, or CISM).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IAM DoD level 3 certifications (CISM, GSLC, CISSP, or CISSP Associate).
  • Security + certification.
