We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Considine Search. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's sensitive data and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain advanced cybersecurity technologies to ensure the robust protection of our information assets.
- Perform in-depth security reviews for new projects and technologies to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Provide frontline response for security incidents, working closely with our Managed Security Services Providers to investigate and resolve suspicious events.
- Conduct detailed, written security reviews for vendors, projects, and technologies, using established processes and procedures to ensure a secure and compliant environment.
- Assess and review our current technology infrastructure to identify key risk areas, ensuring that adequate controls are in place to address those risks.
- Four-year degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an information technology security role, with a strong foundation in managing and securing Microsoft systems.
- Information Security certifications are considered a plus (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GSEC, OSCP, CRISC, Palo Alto, Cisco, Splunk, and others).
- Scripting abilities (e.g. PowerShell) are a plus.
- Expertise in next-generation firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto) and endpoint security tools (Defender for Endpoint), ethical hacking, web app penetration testing, email security (Proofpoint), SIEMs (Splunk, Sentinel), threat analysis tools, vulnerability scanners, authentication, encryption, authorization, continuous auditing tools/techniques, network segmentation, access control, privileged account management, or other information security tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 to $170,000, as well as a hybrid work environment and excellent opportunities for career growth and development.
