Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Technical Services Project Management or Principal Technical Services Project Management to become a vital member of our diverse and skilled team. This role will be based in Palmdale, CA.

The project manager will deliver both organizational and technical guidance across the Digital Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) initiative spanning multiple locations. Responsibilities will include overseeing project development from initial contract through to delivery, mentoring team members, and managing project objectives, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with company policies.

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Innovation development team, you will be tasked with defining, developing, implementing, and transitioning innovative technology solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate quality standards. This position supports AMT Digital Communications and the development, production, integration, and deployment of secure communication solutions. The role necessitates providing organizational and project management support across all digital communications initiatives. Key competencies for success in this position include meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective task prioritization, and the ability to operate with minimal guidance or ambiguous requirements. This role will involve collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, program offices, various business functions, engineering teams, and executive leadership. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is essential. Proficiency in budgeting and project management will be critical for accurately scoping and executing assigned tasks and overseeing project efforts.

Basic Qualifications for Technical Services Project Management (Level 2):

Bachelor of Science degree with at least 1 year of experience in engineering or project management within the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or production sectors; OR Master of Science degree with no prior experience in these fields. Familiarity with ERP systems. Project/Program Management capabilities (proposal development, scheduling, budget oversight). Experience in Earned Value Management, Financial Tracking, Staffing, and Financial Planning. Proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence or other project tracking software. A current and active DoD Secret level security clearance with a periodic re-investigation OR an original adjudication date completed within the last 5 years. Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access. Willingness to travel at least 10%.

Bachelor of Science degree with 4 or more years of experience in engineering or project management in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or production environments; OR Master of Science degree with 3 or more years of experience; OR PhD with no prior experience in these areas. Familiarity with ERP systems. Project/Program Management capabilities (proposal development, scheduling, budget oversight). Experience in Earned Value Management, Financial Tracking, Staffing, and Financial Planning. Proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence or other project tracking software. Preferred Qualifications:

Current Special Program Access Experience with SAP Experience in Cost Account Management Experience leading scrums or project status meetings Experience collaborating with multiple IPTs, other stakeholders, and various DoD customers PMI PMP Certification or prior project management training Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project, Visio) Experience managing hardware procurement and production activities Proposal experience and involvement in early phases of program lifecycle Familiarity with Digital Transformation, Secure Communications Systems, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Systems Integration, IIoT, and/or production manufacturing operations Experience in Digital Manufacturing Experience in hardware/software integration of manufacturing systems Prior experience in a dynamic environment with increasing production schedules and high delivery rates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree Salary Range: $87,200 - $130,800 Salary Range 2: $107,300 - $160,900. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
