Role Overview:

As a Food Safety Compliance Specialist, you will ensure that our systems align with Ferrero's food safety and quality standards while enforcing and promoting all company policies, guidelines, and good manufacturing practices. You will collaborate with various departments based on the plant's needs. This position serves as an excellent foundation for a promising career in the quality food sector.

Compensation: Starting pay rate: $25 / hour with performance-based progression increases after 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure annual reviews and alignment of Food Safety Plans with Ferrero's standards.
  • Support the facility in implementing, maintaining, and auditing good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Oversee Control Documentation Management within the facility.
  • Monitor results of glass, wood, and plastic checks, ensuring corrective actions are addressed.
  • Manage foreign body control within the facility.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Oversee CAPAs to ensure continuous improvements.
  • Support operators in verifying that floor activities comply with Food Safety standards.
  • Assist in tracking and trending key performance indicators (KPIs).
Candidate Profile:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in Food Science or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience in managing a food safety system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in applying mathematics and statistical analysis to data and results trending.
  • Familiarity with industry-related documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HARPC.
  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • PCQI certification.
  • Experience with HACCP, SQF, and FSSC 22000.
