About This Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager IV, Commercial to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex sales and retention strategies for our largest accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement moderately complex sales and retention strategies to meet or exceed targets for retention and growth for accounts in the Book of Business.
  • Build and Maintain Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, consultants, brokers, and/or channels while acting as the KP representative to facilitate contract, benefit/service, and renewal activities.
  • Provide Advanced Product Knowledge: Demonstrate advanced product knowledge when educating customers, consultants, brokers, and/or channel partners, resolving complex questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Collaborate across teams to complete the Request for Renewal (RFR) process for moderately complex accounts, following established timelines and best practices.
  • Drive Business Growth: Facilitate the sustained growth and competitive position of KP in the market by creating and capitalizing on cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase growth and retention.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in sales, customer service, telemarketing, account management, health plan administration, insurance, or a directly related field OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in sales, customer service, telemarketing, account management, health plan administration, insurance, or a directly related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Negotiation; Customer Data; Benefits/Services; Benefits/Services Presentations; Market Research; Sales Opportunity Orchestration; Sales/Partnership Strategy and Techniques; Customer Experience; Goal Setting; Member Service; Underwriting; Change Management; Brand Strategy; Persuasion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Group Healthcare Benefits Sales: Three (3) years of experience in group health care benefits sales, account management, and/or implementation, or a directly related field.
  • Health Insurance License: Health Insurance License in state(s) where applicable.
