Your Role:

The Systems Engineering division at Teledyne Controls is seeking a proactive professional with a robust background in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the hardware and software development lifecycle, from concept to operational deployment. Your responsibilities will encompass system architecture, product specifications, trade studies, analysis, integration, verification and validation (V&V), and ongoing support activities. You will also engage in pioneering research and development initiatives while assisting our established product lines in wireless data transmission, data collection, and interconnected systems for commercial aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of complex systems to execute technical tasks across the system's lifecycle, which may involve hands-on work with hardware, script development, or automated testing procedures.
  • Assume Technical Lead responsibilities for small to medium-scale product developments, including conducting engineering trade studies and design evaluations.
  • Create and refine Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) architecture frameworks.
  • Design and validate system components in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Conduct integration and troubleshooting of prototype hardware and software.
  • Perform root cause analysis for OEM/customer issues encountered in the field.
  • Develop and implement system testing protocols to ensure hardware and software performance.
  • Prepare and assist in the design and execution of automated testing scripts and procedures.
  • Contribute to and author technical documentation and process-related materials.
  • Facilitate the transition of hardware and software products from development to production, ensuring smooth entry into service and addressing OEM/customer field challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Program Office to establish product development timelines and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in a related domain is required.
  • Proficiency in automated test scripting using Python is essential.
  • Familiarity with standard office software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi or Cellular technologies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the avionics field is desirable.
