The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Space Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, California. As a key member of our Space Systems Directorate, you will be responsible for leading and performing in-depth technical analyses, evaluations, and risk assessments to support the development and delivery of critical space control capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and perform technical analyses, evaluations, and risk assessments to support space system development and delivery
- Provide technical guidance and insight to multiple prime contractors and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with government partners and contractors
- Contribute to requirements development, capability evaluation, and implementation of solutions for challenging problems
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure mission success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver space systems that meet customer needs
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or related technical subject area
- 8 or more years of experience in a relevant field, including support of National Security Space missions
- Systems engineering experience, including space systems development and spacecraft development
- Experience with assessing designs for Mission Assurance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Advanced degree in a relevant technical subject area
- Experience with space system acquisitions and program management
- Proven organizational and project leadership skills
- Experience with leading integrated multidisciplinary teams
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a grade-based pay range of $151,300 - $226,900 per year. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
