Position Summary:


This role acts as the primary contact for employees across all levels within the organization, guiding them to the appropriate HR resources for assistance.

The position supports the Human Resources department by delivering robust administrative assistance on various HR-related projects and activities, including but not limited to onboarding coordination, database management, data tracking and entry, as well as benefits support and other administrative responsibilities.

This role will also contribute to projects related to employee relations, maintaining employee records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and monitoring other employee-related documentation.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:
- Responds to daily employee inquiries.
- Assists employees with questions regarding policies, benefits, or other HR-related matters.

- May support recruitment efforts, including internal job postings, interview scheduling, candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, sending offer letters, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

- May assist in coordinating and tracking temporary staffing as needed.
- Completes internal documentation to communicate employee changes to the Payroll Department (e.g., Transfers, Terminations, Leaves of Absence, retroactive salary and benefits changes).
- Aids in bi-weekly payroll processing (e.g., resolving timecard discrepancies).

- Manages the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing necessary paperwork, assisting with orientation, and following up to ensure a smooth transition.

- Performs general administrative tasks such as scheduling departmental meetings, managing employee files and I-9 (E-Verify) verification, processing invoices, and ordering supplies.

- Inputs data into HR systems including ADP HR Portal, SAP, training websites, and other HR/recruitment-related platforms.

- Assists in organizing HR training initiatives for employees.
- Handles unemployment claims as necessary.
- Administers various employee programs, including Scholarship Programs, Service Awards, Flu Clinics, and Benefits Fairs.
- Interacts daily with plant employees and various departments to complete tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including participation in special projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of prior HR experience.

Skills & Capabilities:
- Basic understanding of general HR principles and practices.
- Ability to learn and navigate various online platforms, databases, and HR systems confidently.
- Technologically proficient with strong skills in MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in handling and maintaining confidential information.
- Exceptional research and data compilation abilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity for discretion and respect towards others.
- Commitment to providing exceptional service to employees and third-party vendors.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws.
