About the Role

American Family Care is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and wage orders. Your primary responsibilities will include setting recruiting goals, attracting quality employees, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and managing attrition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and wage orders.
  • Set recruiting goals, attract quality employees, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and manage attrition.
  • Consult with contracted HR company and assist managers on matters regarding employee grievances, internal investigations, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure employee grievances are investigated, addressed, and documented.
  • Coordinate with Director of Finance on Benefits Administration and time off requests.
  • Work with contracted HR company to periodically update Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct annual salary and benefits surveys to ensure the company is in line with the local job market.
  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Perform record-keeping functions for storing, tracking, and reporting employee data.
  • Provide support for the credentialing department.
  • Monitor meal break reporting process.
  • Assist with Supervisor with employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Draft professional correspondence, job ads, announcements, reports, and inquiries.
  • Manage special projects and assigned duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study and/or a combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of human resource management experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and wage orders.
  • SHRM-CP desired but not required.
