As an Account Executive for Emerging Accounts at Yelp, you will engage with corporate clients across multiple locations, promoting Yelp's diverse range of advertising offerings. This role provides the opportunity to cultivate a sales territory and drive new business from initial outreach to closing deals, and everything in between. To excel in this position, you should possess relevant experience in digital or advertising sales, along with a proven history of surpassing targets. This dynamic, client-facing sales role demands industry knowledge and established sales skills. The Account Executive position for Emerging Accounts is vital to Yelp's growth, and we anticipate significant expansion within our Emerging Account sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory of key accounts while identifying new prospects that align with Yelp's advertising solutions
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Play a critical role in mapping client organizations and establishing relationships with multiple stakeholders, focusing on decision-makers
  • Develop expertise in understanding clients' business objectives and challenges, aligning them with Yelp's proven advertising solutions to achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with clients to create a cohesive local strategy utilizing Yelp's branding and conversion products, local search campaigns, and customer engagement tools
  • Identify budget allocations within client organizations aimed at driving in-store sales and digital conversions to fund new Yelp campaigns
  • Partner with Yelp's Account Management and Client Partner teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and program performance post-sale

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Midmarket, National, or Enterprise Sales
  • Proficient in prospecting new business and expanding a diverse contact network within accounts
  • Strong foundation in performance-based digital advertising products/cost-per-click advertising (preferred)
  • A commitment to learning and tackling new challenges with a desire to significantly impact Yelp's revenue and client base
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and comfortable closing deals exceeding $50,000
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize strategic selling techniques
  • Experience in executive-level outreach and communication with Mid-Market and National Accounts
  • Strong time management and creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a builder mentality
  • Familiarity with online media and metrics
  • Enjoy presenting over the phone, via video conference, and in-person to mid-large size groups
  • Proficient in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Reside within the Pacific or Mountain time zones of the United States
