Job Overview

Position Summary

The Vehicle Rental Consultant is responsible for managing rental and return processes. A key aspect of this position involves relocating vehicles within the vicinity, as well as ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned and meet the company's rental standards. The Consultant performs a variety of tasks and delivers services that align with the values of BDaniel Inc. The essential duties and responsibilities outlined below may vary based on location, team dynamics, brand specifications, and any unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer needs and process reservations and booking requests in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide accurate quotes for all necessary consumer information and associated costs.
  • Facilitate rental transactions and agreements for customers while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations, signatures, and confirmations, and provide specialized services as required.
  • Conduct qualification procedures prior to vehicle rentals.
  • Promote sales programs and services to customers to maximize sales opportunities and achieve management-set sales targets.
  • Review completed contracts with customers to ensure accuracy and explain rates and charges.
  • Manage transaction procedures for returned vehicles and verify the accuracy of closing calculations.
  • Audit closed contracts to confirm correct charges for refueling, applicable taxes, and other fees.
  • Address customer concerns using sound judgment within the framework of company policies.
  • Complete daily and weekly branch reporting.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are regularly serviced and that all documentation is current and accurately recorded.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle interiors and exteriors according to quality standards.
  • Return any items left by customers to the designated lost and found area.
  • Comply with company quality assurance and uniform standards.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Level 3 NCEA or higher.
  • Previous experience in customer service and sales.
  • Current full NZ Drivers License with a willingness to obtain class 2 and 4 if not already acquired.
