Job Summary:

We are seeking a Materials Testing Technician, Entry-Level to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting our team with routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with sampling or testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as directed by senior technicians or engineers.
  • Support field and/or laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, laboratory, or other offices, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks, developing skills and knowledge in construction testing and monitoring.
  • Retain information and become a self-sufficient employee, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Support quality policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and develop skills in construction testing and monitoring.
  • Ability to lift 10-60 lbs. and work outside for extended periods, in various weather conditions.
  • Capacity to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain relevant certifications (paid by the company), enhancing career development and opportunities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends or nights as required by client schedule, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
