Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Capital Equipment sales process by delivering essential technical insights aimed at optimizing the productivity of machine tool users. Your collaboration with various internal teams will ensure accountability and effective follow-up for our clientele.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and nurturing customer relationships to address their needs throughout the sales cycle, utilizing Salesforce for process management.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the CNC machine tool industry and the product offerings of our company.
  • Providing support for a wide array of tooling and machine accessory initiatives within your sales territory, positioning yourself as the go-to expert for related products.
  • Formulating solutions for process enhancement and overseeing projects from inception to completion.
  • Engaging in ongoing education through meetings, seminars, and training to remain informed about new products and technologies.
  • Developing your sales territory to drive revenue, particularly when not engaged with Capital machine projects.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and issues in collaboration with the Capital sales team.
  • Upholding a high standard of integrity and professionalism to maintain the trust of customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Engineering Degree (or related field) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of CNC technology and applications within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of interpreting various forms of instructions.
  • A strong competitive drive and desire to succeed in the marketplace.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work environments.
  • Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, capable of effectively communicating with customers in various settings.
  • Professional communication skills in both oral and written formats.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required.
  • Possession of a valid US driving license and a clean driving record.
  • A valid US Passport is a plus.
  • Frequent travel within your designated sales territory is necessary.
  • Experience in public speaking and product presentations.
  • CMTSE Certification is preferred.
  • Project Management experience is beneficial.
  • Lean Manufacturing training or experience is a plus.
