Job Overview

Join Knowhirematch, a prominent player in the machine tool distribution sector across North America, offering an extensive range of CNC machinery, tooling, software, and automation solutions to manufacturers specializing in precision machined components.

Key Responsibilities:

The Junior Account Executive will play a crucial role in identifying prospects, forecasting sales, demonstrating products, and finalizing deals within their designated region. Working closely with a seasoned Account Manager, the Junior Account Executive will receive mentorship for the initial 12-24 months, focusing on business acumen and relationship-building with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. The goal is to master essential functions and transition into an independent Capital Sales Territory within the specified timeframe.

Your Contributions:

  • Efficiently manage daily schedules to ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned territory.
  • Understand and develop the market landscape within the designated accounts.
  • Achieve or surpass established activity benchmarks for prospecting, meetings, presentations, proposals, and closed sales.
  • Assist in formulating annual business strategies and sales plans to meet company objectives and enhance profitability.
  • Initiate and coordinate strategies to explore new market opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding sales activities, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure commitments to customers are fulfilled to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Take ownership of customer-related issues and collaborate with relevant departments for effective resolution.
  • Engage with clients and engineers during pre-sales activities, including site visits and machine evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with machine tool vendors and third-party partners.
  • Adhere to all company policies and ethical standards, ensuring they are communicated and upheld within the team.
  • Participate in training sessions and industry seminars to stay informed about advancements in the field.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of the product lines offered by the company.
  • Educate potential clients on the advantages of our products.
  • Utilize CRM systems (Salesforce) for managing sales activities, forecasting, and lead management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in capital sales, B2B sales, or related fields with a proven track record.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
  • Mathematical proficiency for problem-solving is required.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with diverse groups, including colleagues and clients.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Quick thinking and sound decision-making skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the workweek, including occasional overnight trips.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational and conflict resolution abilities, are essential for success in this role.
