Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Capital Equipment sales process by delivering essential technical insights to optimize the productivity of machine tool users. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and nurturing customer relationships to address their needs from initial engagement through project completion, utilizing Salesforce for process tracking.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the CNC machine tool industry and the product offerings of our company.
  • Supporting a variety of tooling and machine accessory initiatives within a designated sales territory, positioning yourself as the go-to expert for related products.
  • Developing innovative solutions for process enhancement and overseeing projects from conception to execution.
  • Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities, including meetings and training sessions, to stay abreast of new products and technologies.
  • Proactively cultivating a sales territory to drive revenue growth when not engaged in Capital machine projects.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and collaborating with Capital sales staff to resolve issues.
  • Upholding a high standard of integrity and professionalism to maintain the trust of customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Engineering Degree (or related field) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of CNC machine technology and applications within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to interpret various forms of instructions.
  • A strong competitive drive and a desire to excel in the marketplace.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work environments.
  • A strategic mindset with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, capable of effectively communicating with customers in both individual and group settings.
  • Professional communication skills in both oral and written formats.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
  • Possession of a valid US driving license and a clean driving record.
  • A valid US Passport is a plus.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned sales territory is necessary.
  • Experience in public speaking and product presentations.
  • CMTSE Certification is desirable.
  • Project Management experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
