Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical information and support to customers, working closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction, and developing and maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure all needs are met from pre-sales to project completion
  • Provide technical information and support to customers, including process optimization and project management
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-up
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by our company
  • Support a broad range of tooling and machine accessory projects within a Capital equipment sales territory
  • Establish yourself as the central knowledge base for associated machine accessories, work holding, and tool holding products
  • Participate in continuous education meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with new products, processes, and technologies
  • Cultivate a sales territory to generate revenue when not supporting Capital machine projects
  • Be responsive to customers and Capital sales staff in resolving issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Engineering Degree (or related field) preferred with 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Intermediate to sophisticated knowledge of CNC machine technology and applications with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Deep-seated desire to win in a competitive marketplace
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment as well as when working independently
  • Bring a strategic approach to all of your work and creativity for solving challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills - must be able to effectively present products and information to customers in one-on-one and group settings
  • Ability to communicate professionally in oral and written exchanges
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is a plus
  • Ability to manage occasional long-distance travel
  • Possess a valid US driving license and a clean driving record
  • A valid US Passport is a plus
