We aim to achieve carbon-free flight that enhances the experience for both passengers and carriers. To support this mission, we are seeking a Structures Project Engineer who will oversee the planning and tracking of Structures Engineering advancements across various initiatives.
Role Overview
As a Structures Design Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the design, review, and approval of both primary and secondary aircraft structures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for the structures team.
2. Collaborate with technical experts to develop and execute product development schedules, ensuring all program and system-level milestones are achieved.
3. Manage resources effectively to adhere to budget constraints.
4. Work closely with designated suppliers to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
5. Address the needs of on-site laboratory stakeholders through strategic planning.
6. Continuously assess project processes to identify potential challenges and implement improvements for efficiency.
7. Maintain revision control for requirements, design documentation, and product configurations.
8. Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful governance.
9. Refine the structures design validation plan with input from the expert team.
10. Assist in planning and alignment meetings related to FAA certification.
11. Expect intermittent travel as part of this role.
On-site Presence
This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with team members, laboratories, internal stakeholders, and potential investors, necessitating in-office attendance at our headquarters.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Aerospace disciplines.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace structural design, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.

- Strong communication abilities, capable of conveying narratives supported by data.
- A collaborative approach, recognized as a valuable business partner.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging messages for diverse audiences.
