Our mission is to achieve carbon-neutral flight that enhances the experience for both travelers and airlines. To support this vision, we are seeking a Structures Project Engineer who will oversee the planning and monitoring of Structures Engineering initiatives across various projects.

Position Overview
JetZero is experiencing significant growth. As a Structures Design Engineer, your role will encompass the design, evaluation, and approval of both primary and secondary aircraft structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for the structures team.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to develop and implement product development timelines, ensuring all program and system-level milestones are achieved.
  • Manage budgetary resources through effective planning.
  • Engage directly with selected suppliers to ensure critical deliverables and milestones are met.
  • Coordinate with on-site laboratory stakeholders to ensure their needs are addressed by the Structures team.
  • Continuously assess and enhance project processes and activities to identify potential obstacles and implement improvements.
  • Maintain revision control for requirements, design documentation, and product configurations.
  • Lead cross-functional team collaboration to ensure alignment and successful governance execution.
  • Refine the structures design validation strategy with input from expert teams.
  • Assist in planning and alignment meetings related to FAA certification.
  • Travel may be required intermittently for this position.

On-site Presence
This role necessitates in-person interactions with team members, laboratories, internal stakeholders, and potential investors, requiring an in-office presence at our headquarters several days a week.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Aerospace disciplines.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace structural design, including at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities and meticulous attention to detail, with strong communication skills to convey narratives supported by data.
  • A collaborative approach, recognized as a valuable business partner.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting engaging messages for employees and stakeholders.
