Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Structures Project Engineer to oversee and coordinate Structures Engineering initiatives across various projects. This role is based in Long Beach, CA, and reports directly to the Head of Structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for the structures team.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to develop and implement a product development timeline, ensuring all program and system-level objectives are met.
  • Manage budget execution through effective resource planning.
  • Engage with designated suppliers to ensure critical deliverables and milestones are achieved.
  • Address the requirements of on-site laboratory stakeholders through the Structures team.
  • Continuously assess and refine project processes to identify potential obstacles and implement efficiency enhancements.
  • Maintain control over revisions for requirements, design documentation, and product configurations.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful governance throughout project execution.
  • Enhance the structures design validation strategy with input from the expert team.
  • Assist in planning and coordination meetings aimed at FAA certification.
  • Willingness to travel intermittently as required.

Work Environment

This position necessitates regular in-person interactions with team members, laboratories, internal stakeholders, and potential investors, thus requiring an on-site presence at our Long Beach headquarters approximately 4-5 days a week.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional presentation skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively.
  • A collaborative approach, recognized as a strong business partner.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting engaging and impactful messages for both employees and investors.
