The Junior Project Coordinator will support the Development Team in effectively managing and executing commercial solar projects, ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are achieved throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be adept at overseeing multiple projects concurrently, each at different stages of development and construction. This role will report directly to the Program Manager, with the expectation of progressing into a Project Management position overseeing multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to design and implement commercial solar projects in the D.C. area.
  • Accompany supervisors on site assessments to determine interconnection and design specifications for projects, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Engage with clients on behalf of Project Managers through virtual meetings and correspondence.
  • Assist Project Managers in tracking project milestones and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks across various projects.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and Project Managers to promote continuous learning, ask insightful questions, and drive project progress by managing timelines and next steps.
  • Support the Project Manager with administrative tasks and database management.
  • Coordinate site evaluations for surveys and roof condition assessments with clients.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Prepare essential project documentation, including feasibility studies, final design notices, scopes of work, and project completion packages.
  • Organize equipment rentals and deliveries necessary for solar project mobilization.
  • Register completed projects for Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs).
  • Work in the NCS office as required, typically one to two times per week.
  • Take on additional special projects that contribute to the Development Team's objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to collaborate with a team and resolve issues collectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive demeanor with a strong desire to learn.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on finding solutions in challenging situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, capable of traveling to project sites.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in solar project management or construction operations.
  • Familiarity with solar energy policies and regulations.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • NABCEP PV Associate or Installation Professional Certification is a plus.
