Position Overview

The role of the EDI Solutions Architect is critical for organizations looking to enhance their electronic data interchange capabilities. This position is primarily focused on strategic planning and operational excellence in EDI processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-Site Collaboration: Work on-site in a collaborative environment, fostering teamwork and communication.
  • Detail Orientation: Exhibit a keen attention to detail while aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Industry Experience: Bring expertise in distribution and manufacturing sectors, with a solid understanding of third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate strong skills in SQL and the ability to write SQL scripts effectively.
  • EDI Source Management: Engage with existing EDI sources, particularly Epicor, and contribute to decision-making regarding in-house versus outsourced EDI solutions.
  • OpenText and TrueCommerce Knowledge: Familiarity with these platforms is advantageous.
  • Business and Technical Understanding: Possess a comprehensive understanding of EDI from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Hands-On Approach: Be prepared to engage in technical tasks actively.
  • Leadership Skills: Lead a small team, providing guidance and support to 1-2 direct reports.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Roadmap Development: Contribute to the development of a strategic roadmap for EDI initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Processes: Understand key processes such as Order to Cash, 3PL implementation, and Procure to Pay.
  • B2B Understanding: Have a solid grasp of business-to-business interactions.
  • System Integration Expertise: Bring a robust background in system integration to the role.
