Job Overview
The Chargeback Analyst II plays a crucial role in the meticulous examination and verification of debit memos submitted for chargebacks via Model N Flex, ensuring utmost precision. This position involves addressing chargeback discrepancies, engaging with wholesalers daily, and overseeing chargeback accounts that contribute to over $8 billion in annual chargebacks. Accurate chargeback issuance is vital for ensuring that indirect sales data accurately reflects figures utilized for sales, customer incentives, and profitability assessments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough analysis of daily chargeback transactions to guarantee accurate issuance within a 3-5 day timeframe in the Model N Flex system. Serve as the primary analyst for investigating and resolving chargeback discrepancies to proactively address systemic issues with accounts. Provide comprehensive account analyses for management evaluation.
2. Act as the main liaison for customers, national account managers, and various internal departments (including pricing, accounts receivable, government pricing, finance, returns, rebates, IT, and EDI). Serve as the lead expert on all aspects of wholesaler accounts, identifying potential issues that could result in revenue loss and informing management while proposing viable solutions.
3. Analyze and present indirect sales reporting outcomes to Teva Account Managers, the Branded Business Unit, and the Government Pricing team. Recognize trends related to wholesaler chargeback submissions and their financial implications, communicating these insights to management.
4. Cultivate and manage relationships with wholesalers. Share error trends with wholesalers or internal stakeholders to facilitate error resolution and prevent revenue loss. Lead regular conference calls with wholesalers, preparing agendas, coordinating with participants, documenting meeting notes, and ensuring all follow-up actions are tracked and completed.
5. Evaluate customer deductions to ascertain their validity and collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable team to support the resolution of chargeback deduction reconciliation issues.
6. Serve as the primary contact for Sox, PWC, external audits, and internal audits (functional audit team). Investigate and analyze all audit claims to resolution, providing documentation that supports the outcomes. Work in conjunction with the Rebates team to reconcile discrepancies between rebate claims and chargeback indirect sales to identify potential revenue loss.
7. Identify issues within the Model N and EDI systems, coordinating with Teva IT/EDI and wholesaler IT/EDI to expedite resolutions. Summarize issues for tracking and presentation to management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate or pharmaceutical environment in roles such as Accounting, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Memberships/Chargebacks, or performing analysis in a corporate setting. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience with BI Reporting.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Model N Flex.
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-lookups, for at least 3 years.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible schedule with in-office work required two days a week and remote work for three days. Standard hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for earlier arrivals.
