  • Job-Related Duties
    • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
  • Equipment Overhaul and Troubleshooting
    • Able to perform complete overhauls of all required equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting and Fault Determination
    • Ability to troubleshoot and determine the cause of faults, breakdowns, and failures.
  • Working Knowledge of Systems
    • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems, chemical properties and proper handling requirements, plumbing, electrical, various power transmission equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Blueprint Reading
    • Able to read blueprints.
  • Pump Operations and Maintenance
    • Understand pump operations, CFM's, pressures, and be able to make repairs, rebuild, and overhaul pumps as needed.
  • Communication and Computer Skills
    • Communication skills needed to evaluate needs of customers/vendors, order parts, and explain problems. Basic computer skills necessary to collect data and document P.M.'s.
  • OSHA Requirements and Safe Work Practices
    • Understand the function and operation of all plant can-making equipment, knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe work practices.
  • Power Transmission Equipment
    • Understand gearboxes, chains and sprockets, rations, and speeds of various power transmission equipment.
  • Operational Skills
    • Able to operate drill press, band saws, mig/tig/stick welding of all types of metals and materials, cutting torches and plasma cutter, sheet metal fabrication tools, and have a working knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Fork Truck and Lift Equipment Operation
    • Able to operate fork truck and lift equipment.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Understand city, state, and federal regulations regarding certification of work and permit requirements.
  • Procedures and Protocols
    • Understand procedures regarding ordering parts and materials.
  • Precision Measuring Devices
    • Ability to use precision measuring devices.
