Job Summary:

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Back End Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of back end equipment, including flangers, beaders, light testers, lacquer spray machines, IBOs, palletizer, and strappers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and set up of back end conveying equipment, including single filers and can transfer apparatus.
  • Inspect and monitor can specifications at scheduled intervals, documenting results in the computer.
  • Conduct visual checks of cans to ensure compliance with process standards and take corrective action as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation, including process check sheets, log books, and maintenance check sheets.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow all safety procedures and work practices.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to safely operate production forklift.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
