Position Summary: This role requires travel for training purposes, involving a 4-day work week away from home for the initial training period.

The Loan Processor plays a crucial role in assisting clients with their immediate financial requirements. This position encompasses all phases of the loan processing journey, including evaluating applications, analyzing provided information, and aiding in the credit extension decision. Once a prospect transitions to a client, ongoing communication is essential, which includes managing weekly payments, addressing inquiries, and handling overdue loans.

Travel Requirements: The candidate will need to travel to designated markets for training, working Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. Accommodations will be provided, including mileage reimbursement, meals, and lodging during the training period.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all clients.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone or in-person.
  • Greet all clients with a smile and offer assistance.
  • Clarify the advantages of Dollar Loan Center's offerings compared to competitors.
  • Regularly check for unprocessed applications.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications.
  • Encourage customer feedback on service quality.

Loan Evaluation:

  • Thoroughly assess loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify details and process applications swiftly.
  • Adhere to underwriting standards and involve relevant personnel in decisions.
  • Provide comprehensive explanations of loan agreements.

Sales Initiatives:

  • Seek opportunities to assist applicants rather than deny them.
  • Remind clients of their credit limits and suggest potential increases.
  • Understand and articulate the benefits of Dollar Loan Center's services.
  • Proactively request referrals from satisfied clients.
  • Conduct marketing outreach to existing customers regularly.

Collections Management:

  • Conduct timely and professional collection calls on overdue accounts.
  • Follow established collection protocols.
  • Document collection interactions accurately in the system.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Calculate payments accurately and address related inquiries.
  • Handle cash transactions and ensure correct disbursement of funds.
  • Input data consistently and accurately into the system.
  • Balance payment drawers as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
  • Ensure proper opening and closing of the location.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in lending, cash handling, and collections is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Dependable and committed to the objectives of Dollar Loan Center.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Ability to travel and cover various locations as required.
  • Must pass a background check.
