Position Summary: This role involves a training period of 60-90 days, requiring travel for four days a week. All travel arrangements will be managed by the company.

The Store Manager in Training is responsible for learning to manage the daily operations of the designated store. The role demands ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining accuracy in all transactions and reports. The candidate will actively seek opportunities for store growth while adhering to company policies. The Store Manager will collaborate closely with staff and customers, ensuring effective communication with the Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Duties:

  • Oversee the efficient daily operations and overall performance of the assigned store.
  • Achieve collection targets set for the store.
  • Train staff to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks and take accountability for their performance.
  • Ensure accuracy in all banking transactions and adhere to regional/national guidelines.
  • Complete and submit necessary financial documentation.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked with office and marketing supplies.
  • Address and resolve issues that exceed the scope of store staff.
  • Maintain accurate employee time records in the payroll system.
  • Manage financial aspects of the store proactively.
  • Submit helpdesk requests promptly for any operational needs.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming and enthusiastic environment for all customers and prospects.
  • Greet customers warmly and inquire about their needs.
  • Clearly explain the benefits of Dollar Loan Center's offerings compared to competitors.
  • Regularly check for unprocessed loan applications.
  • Use professional language consistently in all customer interactions.
  • Encourage customer feedback through service reviews.

Loan Processing:

  • Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy, clarifying any discrepancies with applicants.
  • Process loan applications promptly, adhering to guidelines.
  • Understand and apply underwriting standards appropriately.
  • Provide clear explanations of loan contracts to customers.

Sales Initiatives:

  • Seek opportunities to approve loan applications rather than deny them.
  • Communicate credit limits to customers and discuss potential increases.
  • Understand and articulate the advantages of Dollar Loan Center's services.
  • Request referrals from satisfied customers.
  • Conduct marketing outreach to customers regularly.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with customers regarding their loan requests.

Collections Management:

  • Conduct professional and courteous collection calls on overdue accounts.
  • Adhere to Dollar Loan Center's collection policies.
  • Document collection interactions clearly and accurately.
  • Evaluate delinquent accounts and determine when to escalate to management.
  • Maintain a collection percentage that meets company standards.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Execute opening and closing procedures effectively, ensuring trained personnel are available in the manager's absence.
  • Accurately calculate customer payments and address inquiries regarding payment details.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and ensure correct disbursement of loan funds.
  • Input all data into the system consistently and accurately.

General Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel for training purposes as specified.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and work independently.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Be open to constructive feedback for performance improvement.
  • Keep the workspace organized and well-stocked with supplies.
  • Adhere to the company's dress code and conduct policies.
  • Limit personal communications during work hours to scheduled breaks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in lending, cash handling, and collections is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Availability to work standard office hours and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the goals of Dollar Loan Center.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
  • Must pass a background check satisfactorily.
