Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Advise on suitable loan products and facilitate consumer loan applications.
  • Clarify loan terms and conditions to ensure customer understanding.
  • Assist in processing transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Support the Branch Manager with branch certification reviews and audits.
  • Handle customer requests, including cash advances, wire transfers, foreign currency exchanges, and monetary instrument purchases.
  • Manage customer bank accounts, including account openings, closures, and maintenance.
  • Recommend, explain, and present banking services and products to both existing and potential clients.
  • Refer customers to in-house financial specialists or relevant bank departments as needed.
  • Prepare documentation for opening or closing deposit and consumer loan accounts, ensuring necessary signatures are obtained.
  • Process applications for credit cards, safe deposit boxes, and loan requests.
  • Verify bank account details upon client request.
  • Discuss bank policies and procedures with clients, including any changes that may affect them.
  • Resolve client inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures and comply with audit requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with Branch Certifications as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
  • Provide transaction overrides as necessary.
  • Deliver product and customer service training.
  • Participate in Branch Security duties as required.
  • Assist with branch opening and closing procedures.
  • Represent and promote the bank professionally at community events.
Required Qualifications

(Education requirements may be fulfilled through experience and/or relevant knowledge)
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, as travel between branches may be necessary.
  • A minimum of one year of retail banking experience with account opening expertise.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, requiring close visual acuity and proficiency in operating computer applications and office equipment. Some travel may be necessary for branch or departmental visits. The position is typically situated within a standard office environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, as travel to branches, training sessions, and customer visits may be required.
  • Three years of experience in retail banking, with a focus on account opening and consumer lending.
