JOB SUMMARY:

The Child Care Quality Improvement Manager is tasked with the creation, execution, and assessment of initiatives aimed at enhancing the standard of child care within the designated service area.

This role involves overseeing the administrative functions related to professional growth for child care providers in the region; facilitating workshops and presentations as required; offering technical support and referrals as necessary; and contributing to the content and publication of departmental newsletters.

The Grants and Provider Services Coordinator will evaluate grant submissions, follow up with service providers, manage orders, and distribute grant-related materials.

This position requires maintaining precise records and monitoring program activities; preparing necessary reports promptly; and supporting the organization's vision of ensuring community access to high-quality child care services.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Enhance the expertise and capabilities of child care providers through technical support, focusing on assistance for new initiatives.

Exhibit the organization's commitment to equity, diversity, and community involvement.

Identify and engage new participants, while ensuring comprehensive documentation for technical support and quality enhancement projects in child care settings.

Reach out to current, potential, and informal providers to present and clarify available resources and services.

Maintain accurate records of planned trainings, delivered trainings, and the outcomes achieved from these trainings.

Complete support activities that ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.



EDUCATION:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a closely related discipline.

Bachelor's Degree Preferred:
30 Credits in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or Business Administration with 4 years of relevant experience or CDA/FDC with 18 additional credits.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES:
A valid Driver's License is required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of experience in the Early Childhood field is required.

SKILLS OR OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
Proficient computer skills; ability to maintain accurate and complete records; knowledge of state child care regulations and methods for enhancing quality in child care programs; exceptional organizational and time management skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting with some travel required to conduct site visits and provide technical assistance.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Ability to work non-judgmentally with diverse clients, collaborate effectively within a team, complete tasks independently, and maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with colleagues, clients, and the public.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer, telephone, copier/printer, shredder, fax machine.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Involves sitting, driving, computer usage for documentation and research, with occasional lifting and carrying required. Close mental and visual attention is necessary to perform job duties.
