Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement the Creative Curriculum, supplementing it with innovative approaches to inspire children's growth and development.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a well-organized and clean classroom environment, ensuring the needs of individual children are met.
  • Child Development: Provide individual attention to children, adapting the classroom environment to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Parent Partnerships: Collaborate with parents to support their child's growth and development, maintaining open communication to ensure consistency.
  • Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct ASQ-3 assessments and utilize Teaching Strategies Gold to inform developmental assessments.
  • Communication and Reporting: Utilize the Procare Engage app (or Parent Square) to keep parents informed of their child's daily activities.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise assistant teachers, ensuring they follow rules and regulations, and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Requirements
  • NYS Teaching Certification - B-2
  • Experience working as a lead teacher in a preK classroom
  • High energy, great interpersonal skills, motivated, creative, dedicated, takes initiative and ownership of work, nurturing, good work ethic, reliable, excellent communication skills
