Position Overview - Aquatic Safety Student Assistant

Work Schedule: Flexible hours based on academic commitments and available shifts.

Compensation: $9.75 - $12.25 per hour, negotiable based on prior experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver life-guarding and safety assistance while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain vigilant observation of swimmers in designated areas to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Enforce all relevant policies and regulations while engaging in regular training sessions.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student.
  • Skills: Ability to swim at least 300 yards using front crawl and breaststroke.
  • Capability to perform a surface dive to depths of 9 to 13 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object and exit the pool without assistance.

Certifications:

  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
  • Current CPR certification for Lifeguards or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers.
  • Current First Aid certification from the Red Cross.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to swim proficiently.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

Special Instructions:
