Schedule: Part-time, with variable hours including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage starting at $7.25, commensurate with experience.

Position Overview: The Athletics Photography Student Intern plays a vital role in enhancing the narrative of Oklahoma Athletics by capturing dynamic images that reflect the spirit of our sports programs and student-athletes. This role involves assisting the Director and Assistant Director of Photography in fulfilling various photography requests and documenting events across the university's 21 varsity sports. The intern will work collaboratively with creative teams to uphold a unified visual style throughout all departmental photography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the department's digital photo archive, ensuring accurate editing, correction, and organization of images.
  • Work alongside the Director and Assistant Director of Photography to guarantee comprehensive coverage of games, photoshoots, and departmental events, maintaining a consistent aesthetic across all sports.
  • Be available for evening and weekend assignments, with occasional travel to cover events.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Communications and Marketing, to meet photography needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled as a student for the upcoming term at the University of Oklahoma, maintaining good academic standing.
  • Submission of the current class schedule is mandatory.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in sports photography, particularly in-game photography.
  • Familiarity with photography software, including Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic.
  • Understanding of University, SEC, and NCAA regulations.
