We are seeking a Project Civil Engineer for our Edison, New Jersey Office. LiRo offers a flexible work schedule.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc., consolidated a portion of the highly skilled staff from both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a firm with 1100 professionals and multiple offices across the region.



Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of civil engineering analyses and design tasks, including roadway and grading design, site layout and planning, zoning analysis, storm-water management, utility planning, and ADA compliance.
  • Facilitate coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and planning boards.
  • Execute site investigations to observe and document existing conditions.
  • Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Aid in the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications, and coordination with other design disciplines to ensure high-quality engineering services.
  • Perform construction inspections and provide solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects.
  • Utilize a diverse range of technical and project management skills on projects from small site restorations to large-scale new constructions.
  • Attend professional industry events.
  • Contribute to the development of technical standards and mentor junior engineering staff.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification required; NJ PE preferred.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Understanding and application of code requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
