Job Overview

Position: Parts & Inventory Specialist

Type: Entry-Level, Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour plus performance bonuses (based on experience)

The Parts & Inventory Specialist is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and oversight of the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of all materials acquired from suppliers. This role is essential in ensuring that operations run smoothly and that parts and supplies are effectively located and distributed. The specialist will manage the logistics of shipping, receiving, and storing all parts, rentals, and equipment. Additionally, this position includes responsibilities for maintaining the shop environment, which encompasses organizing workspaces, performing general cleaning, and ensuring proper upkeep of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research to identify parts for team members and clients.
  • Assisting the Service team with parts requirements for scheduled jobs.
  • Preparing parts for daily service orders.
  • Processing returns from service orders and reintegrating parts into inventory.
  • Overseeing warehouse and inventory management.
  • Handling shipping and receiving tasks, including forklift operation as necessary.
  • Unloading and organizing stock orders.
  • Updating customer information and assets in the CRM software.
  • Managing incoming parts requests from customers via various communication channels and entering quotes and orders (attention to detail and strong customer service skills are essential).
  • Routing qualified prospects to the appropriate Sales Engineer for equipment, service, and rental opportunities.
  • Participating in required sales training sessions.
  • Exhibiting excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrating strong listening abilities and effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks daily.
  • Showing creativity and flexibility in problem-solving.
  • Efficiently operating the computer system and CRM software.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Forklift certification is advantageous (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service and teamwork.
  • Capability to work independently and complete assignments within established guidelines and standard practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for clear telephone conversations.

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided, focusing on CRM software that manages sales and inventory, along with industry knowledge. Training will be compensated, and additional web-based training will be available. Manufacturer representatives will assist with training during their visits, and ongoing support will be provided as you develop professionally.
