CARB-X is in search of a seasoned professional in the realm of research and development of therapeutic and preventive solutions to join our esteemed team at Boston University.

CARB-X operates as a non-profit entity dedicated to expediting the pre-clinical advancement of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and diagnostic tools aimed at combating antibiotic resistance.

Since its inception, CARB-X has allocated substantial funding, establishing itself as one of the most significant and rapidly expanding public-private research collaborations globally.

The management of our product portfolio is pivotal to the mission of CARB-X.

We are seeking an individual to oversee the therapeutics and prevention portfolio, which encompasses initiatives related to antibiotics, vaccines, live biotherapeutics, bacteriophage, non-traditional therapies, and additional innovative products.

Required qualifications include experience in managing drug discovery initiatives within a biotech or pharmaceutical context, particularly focused on infectious disease research; familiarity with drug development processes through initial clinical trials is a notable advantage.

Experience in assessing and collaboratively integrating products into a portfolio is highly sought after.

This role can be performed entirely remotely; however, the successful candidate must be capable of working (at least partially) within ET and CET time zones.

Essential Skills
As the Lead Partnership Manager, your expertise and qualifications will encompass:

Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree is mandatory
Minimum of 3 years of experience in drug development within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment
Experience in scientific Research and Development aimed at addressing infectious diseases, particularly during the drug discovery or diagnostic development phases through initial clinical trials, will be a significant asset.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional communication abilities in written formats, graphical representation of data, and verbal interactions are essential.
Experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams is advantageous.
Familiarity with compliance considerations in drug discovery and development (animal and/or human subjects) is beneficial.
