The Long Tom Watershed Council (LTWC) is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Restoration & Fire Projects Manager. This pivotal position entails overseeing the comprehensive coordination, strategic planning, and execution of habitat restoration initiatives focused on oak, prairie, and wetland ecosystems. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in the planning and implementation of controlled burns integral to these restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of habitat restoration projects, ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders.
- Implement and oversee prescribed burns, maintaining necessary qualifications through recognized programs.
- Navigate the complex regulatory and partnership landscape associated with prescribed fire.
- Exhibit strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in habitat restoration and fire management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within the team and with external partners.
- A commitment to maintaining prescribed burn qualifications through relevant certification programs.
Compensation and Benefits:
The starting salary for this full-time position ranges from $54,000 to $62,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
