Position Overview:

The Long Tom Watershed Council (LTWC) is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Restoration & Fire Projects Manager. This pivotal position is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive coordination, strategic planning, and execution of habitat restoration initiatives focusing on oak, prairie, and wetland ecosystems. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership in the planning and execution of prescribed burns integral to these restoration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of habitat restoration projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and partnership agreements related to prescribed fire.
  • Maintain prescribed burn qualifications through recognized programs.
  • Exhibit exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Rural Projects Team to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. A background in environmental management or a related field is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary range: $54,000-$62,000, commensurate with experience.
