Overview:
Parts Technicians I are responsible for providing essential counter service to employees requiring parts and equipment to fulfill their job functions. This role involves assisting with inventory oversight, data entry within inventory management systems, and delivering excellent customer service. Occasionally, the Parts Technician may operate a company vehicle to collect parts.

Compensation:
The pay range is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence:
    Deliver outstanding customer service by:
    - Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
    - Familiarizing oneself with and adhering to the Policy and Procedures Manual
    - Understanding and following MANCON's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Manual
    - Welcoming and assisting customers
    - Reviewing requisition forms for completeness (including signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities)
    - Responding to inquiries regarding parts availability
    - Asking pertinent questions to ensure accurate parts identification
    - Notifying customers when requested parts are ready for pickup
  • Parts Collection:
    - Drive to designated locations to procure parts
    - Provide necessary documentation to vendors (such as tax-exempt forms and credit references)
    - Verify invoices at vendor locations for pricing and quantity accuracy
    - Ensure timely return of products to the company location
  • Data Management:
    - Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions within the inventory system
    - Help with the entry of vendor receiving documents into the inventory system
  • Inventory Control:
    - Participate in weekly inventory cycle counts
    - Assist during comprehensive inventory counts at the site
  • Additional Duties:
    - Follow established protocols for vehicle and equipment maintenance
    - Provide 24-hour support during emergencies
    - Travel to various locations for parts collection
    - Contribute to inventory research projects as needed
    - Adhere to established procedures
    - Engage in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) continuing education program
    - Support Store Supervisor responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of computer experience
  • Availability for 24-hour support
  • Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience
  • 1 year of experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current COVID-19 vaccination

Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Essential Physical Activities:
Driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking.

Work Environment:
While the majority of work is conducted in an office setting, some tasks will take place in storerooms and warehouses, which may have varying temperatures and conditions. Travel to different sites in a vehicle is required.
