- Welcoming and assisting customers effectively.
- Reviewing requisition forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Providing information on parts availability.
- Asking pertinent questions to ensure the correct parts are identified and supplied.
- Notifying customers when requested parts are ready for pickup.
- Parts Collection: Responsibilities include:
- Driving to designated locations to procure parts.
- Presenting necessary documentation to vendors.
- Verifying invoices for accuracy upon receipt.
- Returning items to the company location promptly.
- Data Management: Assist with:
- Generating invoices for customer requisitions.
- Entering vendor receiving documents into the inventory system.
- Inventory Oversight: Participate in:
- Conducting weekly inventory cycle counts.
- Participating in comprehensive inventory assessments.
- Additional Duties: Include:
- Following guidelines for vehicle and equipment upkeep.
- Providing emergency support as needed.
- Traveling to various locations for parts collection.
- Assisting with inventory research projects.
- Engaging in ongoing training programs.
- Supporting supervisory tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of computer experience.
- Availability for 24-hour support.
- Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience.
- 1 year of experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work is primarily conducted in an office environment, with some tasks performed in storerooms and warehouses that may have varying temperatures and conditions.
