Corporate Accounting Professional

Cretex is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Intern to join our team. As a Corporate Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our accounting team to review and analyze company operating results.
Responsibilities- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis of operating company results and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Reporting and Close Processes: Assist with monthly reporting and close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Analytical Reviews: Assist with analytical reviews on major customers and competitors to gain a deeper understanding of market trends and opportunities.
- Internal Control Reviews: Review each company's internal control structure and adherence to policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Communication: Communicate internal audit procedures to divisional controllers and presidents to ensure effective implementation and compliance.
- Research and Development: Research new and emerging accounting standards and the impact to Cretex to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects at the corporate office or at an operating company, as directed by the senior accountant, controller, or the leadership team.
- Quality System: Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Partner with other business segments, including sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Education: Enrolled in an accredited accounting or finance degree program.
- Accounting Principles: Understand accounting principles and auditing standards to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with corporate finance team regarding work status and collaborate with accounting team members across multiple organizations.
- Project Management: Take ownership of projects and responsibilities and see them through to completion.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.
- Experience: Experience using accounting principles to analyze financial data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
