Job Title: Senior Operations Accountant

Job Summary:

Aston Carter is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Accountant to oversee all aspects of fixed asset management, including partnering with operations to manage assets-in-progress, asset additions, disposals, and maintenance of the fixed assets register.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage accounting for all leases
  • Handle critical aspects of the month-end close process
  • Manage cost accounting tasks
  • Serve as an internal NetSuite systems expert on fixed asset and lease modules as well as cost accounting functionality
  • Prepare and propose inventory reserve
  • Provide internal controls leadership over operational balance sheet line items
  • Support regular and ad hoc requests such as weekly vendor check runs, annual audit support, quarterly sales tax reporting, and bank reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5+ years preferably in a manufacturing or CPG
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred
  • Solid grasp of cost accounting principles including standard costs and BOMs
